When Lively Group bought Motive I was offered a short term position building the company's social media presence. Working closely with Chief Marketing Officer, we developed a unified SMO strategy for the company and it's subsidiaries.

Created/executed cross-platform integrated marketing strategies (digital, social, traditional, stunt, mobile & experimental) and managed audio/video production and post-production projects for broadcast and cinema. Multiple projects of varied budgets happened simultaneously, often at different stages of production.

Instructor : Filmmaking

IMPROV OLYMPIC (LA) & THE P.I.T. (NYC)

Teach the 10 Week D.I.Y No Budget Filmmaking Workshop. The classes (10-15 learners per class) collectively wrote, produced and directed a short film in 10 weeks. The workshop's goal was to show aspiring filmmakers that smart writing and pre-production helped keep short films inexpensive to produce. At the end, each class would screen films for invited guests.

I started by assisting in the production of an LA based reality TV show (The Hills) visiting New York City; providing location assistance, planning travel around traffic patterns, assisting gear check out and returns. When one of the characters got a spin off in NYC (The City) I was brought on as the Key PA.

As the creative project manager I organized print, digital and audio/video projects for clients; managing creative teams and budgets ensuring the clients needs were met efficiently. Clients included UFC, Nickelodeon and Johnson & Johnson.

At the time, Creative Group was Fangoria’s parent company. While producing Fangoria Radio I began assisting various productions at other companies within Creative Group. Coordinating projects at various stages of production became my primary responsibility; always managing several projects concurrently. Known for being budget conscious, my nickname became the name of my LLC; Recession Proof.

On-Air Producer

I started with Fangoria as an intern and was hired as an associate producer at the end of the term. When they started a radio show on Sirius I was promoted to on-air producer and produced 100 episodes of Fangoria Radio w/ Dee Snider & Debbie Rochon. At the forefront of social media, I led efforts to reach fans and foster loyalty on MySpace and Friendster as print media struggled.

Theater Manager 

THE PEOPLE'S IMPROV THEATER

Managed the nightly operations of a busy improv & comedy theater in New York City. Worked directly with the founder (Ali Farahnakian) to hire/train interns/staff, promote shows with rising stars and promote comedy classes at The PIT's improv training center.

Manage the day to day operations, training employees and helping to build a local clientele for stores in famously high trafficked shopping areas (SoHo in NYC & Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills). This was my "day job" as I first started getting into stand-up comedy.

Infantry Soldier 

UNITED STATES ARMY

As a team leader in the 3rd Infantry Division, I was in one of the most rapidly deployable units in the military. An expert marksman in the mechanized infantry, I was trained to drive, shoot & dismount from a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Because of my efforts, Battalion Command hand selected me for LRC & the Land Warrior program.
